Besaran dari "SI units" pada kelistrikan

Dalam mempelajari ilmu kelistrikan dan Elektronika, salah satu pengetahuan dasar yang penting untuk dikuasai adalah mengetahui besaran-besaran maupun satuan-satuan unit yang terdapat dalam ilmu listrik dan Elektronika ini. Pengetahuan tentang Besaran maupun Satuan Listrik dan Elektronika ini dapat membantu kita dalam merancang, merakit serta menganalisa sebuah rangkaian Listrik/Elektronika. Tanpa pengetahuan dasar ini, kita tidak akan dapat mengetahui secara pasti nilai-nilai komponen listrik/elektronika, nilai-nilai hasil pengukuran tegangan dan arus listrik serta tidak dapat melakukan perhitungan dalam rangkaian seperti menghitung jumlah daya listrik yang dipergunakan, menyusun rangkaian seri/paralel resistor dan lain sebagainya.

Pengertian Besaran dan Satuan

Besaran adalah segala sesuatu yang dapat diukur atau dihitung, dinyatakan dengan Angka atau nilai dan  setiap Besaran pasti memiliki satuan. Contoh-contoh besaran dalam Ilmu kelistrikan dan Elektronika seperti Tegangan, Arus listrik, Hambatan, Frekuensi dan Daya Listrik.

Sedangkan yang dimaksud dengan satuan adalah acuan yang digunakan untuk memastikan kebenaran pengukuran  atau sebagai pembanding dalam suatu pengukuran besaran. Satuan ini dalam bahasa Inggris sering disebut dengan Unit. Contoh-contoh satuan dalam ilmu kelistrikan dan Elektronika seperti Ampere, Volt, Ohm, Joule, Watt, Farad dan Henry.

Contoh-contoh Penulisan Satuan SI

Contoh-contoh penulisan satuan-satuan tersebut diantaranya seperti berikut ini :

• 1kV = 1 kilo Volt = 1.000 Volt
• 1mA = 1 mili Ampere = 1/1000 Ampere atau 0,001 Ampere
• 1MΩ = 1 Mega Ohm = 1.000.000 Ohm
• 1µF = 1 micro Farad = 1/1.000.000 Farad
